The Art of Silent

Etienne Decroux defines mime as "The art of silent". Mime artists always dress in black and white stripe, with exaggerated make-up. Their performance alike kind of arts, simple but meaningful. They tend to perform in a funny way in order to present an unexpected story. Own joyful construction in others pain, thus the mime artists wander between black and white, symbolizing the gray area, Irony. They perform without any voice but keep acting in phantasm pattern. In my point of view, those mime artists are brave fighters, intending to break the unspoken rules in the complicated world by their own simple fashion. Creating the fantastic cycle by simple stripe, which is the type of mime in my mind. The simple irony can be such meaningful simultaneously, and the funny way could change the world positively.
